About Space Junk
Everything that we can directly observe makes up just 5% of the universe. The other 95% is a bit of a mystery to us. Would your pupils love the chance to explore more of the mysteries of space?
Space Junk can help them take the first steps on that journey. Our team will teach young people about different orbits and speeds of satellites. And yes, we’ll bring our ever-popular LEGO MINDSTORMS© robots along too!
So, what’s involved in Space Junk?
Expand your horizons. Pupils will learn how space technology has impacted their daily lives. And do they know that this has created some amazing jobs right here in Scotland?
Play with LEGO MINDSTORMS© robots. Everybody loves LEGO, and robots are pretty cool too! As part of this activity, your pupils will program robots to simulate the orbital motion of a satellite. Space junk is a big issue – we'll help young people think about how to tackle it.
Learn about Scotland’s space scene. Scotland is the world’s second largest producer of satellites! And there are more opportunities than you think. We’ll show pupils what space tech companies are in your local area and chat about the best routes to out of this world careers.
