Legal Careers: Pupil and Teacher Handbook

Work Inspiration and Preparation

Legal Careers: Pupil and Teacher Handbook

The Law Society of Scotland is committed to widening access

to legal education and careers in law. A key part of this is ensuring that

everyone has the information to support them in this journey and making

decision for their future career in law.

As part of this, we have developed the Pupil and Teacher Handbook. The

resource aims to provide students, teachers, parents, and those who support

them with a one stop shop information resource that covers a range of topics,

including admission to university, the route to qualification as a solicitor,

alternative careers in law and more.

It should take less than 1 hour to read the resource (PDF) and students can access the sections most suitable to them. Teachers, parents, and careers advisors are also encouraged to use the resource in order to support students interested in a career in law.
